The Knowledge Graph Driven P2P Energy Trading project will be an 18-month CARES-hosted project in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore that aims to develop an energy market framework leveraging the benefits of a dynamic knowledge graph.
As sustainable energy solutions are a key area for megacities when considering net-zero carbon emissions plans, the project is expected to provide crucial support to improve the utilisation of renewable energy sources and better pricing for prosumers, while ensuring the safe operation of the distribution grid. The project emphasises the role of prosumers for efficient peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading, that is the inclusive role of consumers in becoming energy producers themselves with the advent of solar panels and electric vehicles.
Dr Casper Lindberg (CARES) and Asst Prof Hung Dinh Nguyen (NTU) will be Principal Investigators on the project. They will develop a dynamic knowledge graph that connects and forms relationships between otherwise disparate information on energy services and capacities to better decision-making for prosumers and effective management of the distribution grid.
Knowledge Graph Driven P2P Energy Trading was awarded as part of the latest SGD250k Intra-CREATE seed grant which aims to generate collaborations between researchers from CREATE Partner Institutions co-located in Singapore to achieve greater impact from collaborative research efforts.
